Luscombe, Matthew Henry Thornhill, of Catharine Hall, Cambridge (B.A. 1798, M.A. 1805), s. Samuel, of Exeter, Devon, doctor. Exeter Coll., incorp. 29 Jan., 1810, aged 34; B.C.L. 1 Feb., 1810, D.C.L. 3 Feb., 1810, master of Haileybury College, 1806-19, bishop of the Episcopal Church of Scotland, 1824, and chaplain to the British Embassy at Paris, 1825, until his death at Lausanne, 24 Aug., 1846.
