Maddy, John, s. Joseph, of Dorston, co. Hereford, pleb. Jesus Coll., matric. 11 Oct., 1784, aged 18; B.A. 1788, M.A. 1791, B. & D.D. 1812, rector of Somerton, Suffolk, 1799, of Hartest with Boxted 1819, and of Stansted 1820, of Cambridge University 'ad eundem' 10 Dec., 1835, chaplain in ordinary to the King 1835, canon of Ely 1835, until his death 17 June, 1853.
