Mitford, William, s. John, of St. Andrew's, London, arm. Queen's Coll., matric. 16 July, 1761, aged 18; of Newtown, Hants, a student of the Middle Temple 1763, colonel Hampshire militia, M.P. Newport, Cornwall, 1785-90, Beeralston 1796-1802, and of Romney 1812-8, professor of ancient history at the Royal Academy, author of the 'History of Greece,' etc., died 10 Feb., 1827.
