'ad eundem' 1831 (son of Charles Monk of 40th regiment), regius professor of Greek 1808-22, Whitehall preacher 1812, dean of Peterborough 1822-30, and rector of Fiskerton, co. Lincoln, 1822-30, canon of Westminster 1830, bishop of Gloucester 1830-6, of Gloucester and Bristol 1836, until his death 6 June, 1856.
