Neale, John Mason, of Trinity Coll., Cambridge (B.A. 1840, M.A. 1845); adm. 'ad eundem' 24 June, 1846, (s. Cornelius, fellow St. John's College, Cambridge), founder of the Ecclesiological Society at Cambridge, incumbent of Crawley, Sussex, 1843, warden of Sackville College, East Grinstead, 1846, founded the East Grinstead Sisterhood, D.D. Hartford University 1861, composed the hymn 'Jerusalem the Golden,' died 6 Aug., 1866.
