Nugent, Field-Marshal Sir George g.c.b., created D.C.L. 23 June, 1819, colonel 6th regiment, served in Holland and Flanders 1793, etc., lieut.-governor and commander-in-chief Jamaica 1801-6, created a baronet for military services 28 Nov., 1806, M.P. Charleville 1800-2, Buckingham 1790-1802, 1818-32, Aylesbury 1806-12, died 11 March, 1849. See Foster's Baronetage.
