Outram, Lieut.-General Sir James (Bart.); created D.C.L. 2 July, 1862 (son of Benjamin Outram, of Butterley Hall, co. Derby, civil engineer), a member of the Indian Council, G.C.B. 1857, and for services during the Indian Mutiny and the relief of Lucknow, created a baronet 20 Nov., 1858, died 11 March, 1863, buried in Westminster Abbey.
