Palmer, William, 1s. William Jocelyn, of Mixbury, Oxon, cler. Magdalen Coll., matric. 27 July, 1826, aged 15; demy 1826-32, B.A. 1831, M.A. 1833, fellow 1832-55, bursar 1836, college tutor 1838-43, prælector of moral philosophy 1842, vice-president 1844, University examiner 1837-9, an Eastern traveller, tutor and censor, and member of the senate of Durham University 1833-6, joined the Church of Rome in 1855, died 5 April, 1879.
