Shirley, (Sir) Horatio (k.c.b.), 5s. Evelyn, of Eatington, co. Warwick, arm. Trinity Coll., matric. 10 May, 1823, aged 17; a general in the army, colonel 88th regiment (Connaught rangers) 1874-9, which he led at the battles of the Alma and Inkerman, etc., in the Crimea, died 7 April, 1879.
