Smalbroke, Samuel, born at Hereford (city), s. Richard, bishop of Lichfield and Coventry. Christ Church, matric. 28 March, 1735, aged 14; B.A. 1740, M.A. 1742, B. & D.D. 1771, canon residentiary of Lichfield 1744, preb. 1749, and rector of Wem, Salop, 1751, until his death 27 July, 1808.
