Sumner, Robert, born at Highclere, Hants, 3s. Charles (Richard), bishop of Winchester. Balliol Coll., matric. 28 March, 1838, aged 17; B.A. 1841, M.A. 1844, rector of Brightwell, Berks, 1851, until his death 20 Dec., 1858.
