Talfourd, (Sir) Thomas Noon, serjt-at-law, created D.C.L. 20 June, 1844 (1s. Edward, of Fulham, Middlesex, esquire); bar.-at-law, Middle Temple, 1821, K.C. & Q.C., serjt.-at-law 1833, Queen's serjeant 1846, recorder of Banbury, M.P. Reading 1835-41, 1847-9, a judge of Common Pleas 1849-54, knighted at Windsor Castle 30 Jan., 1850, the author of 'Ion,' the friend and biographer of Charles Lamb, died 13 March, 1854.
