Warren, Samuel, created D.C.L. 9 June, 1853 (1s. Samuel, of Edinburgh, LL.D.), bar.-at-law, Inner Temple, 1837, Q.C. 1851, bencher 1851, recorder of Hull 1852-74, M.P. Midhurst 1856-9, a master in lunacy 1859-77, author of 'Ten Thousand a Year,' etc., edited 'Blackstone Systematically Abridged,' in 1857, died 29 July, 1877, aged 90; father of the next named.
