Waugh, John, born in St. Bride's, London, s. John, dean of Gloucester (after bishop of Carlisle). Queen's Coll., matric. 26 Feb., 1721-2, aged 18; B.A. 1724, M.A. 1727, D.C.L. 8 Feb., 1734-5, preb. and chancellor of Carlisle 1727, dean of Worcester 1751, until his death 13 April, 1765 (? rector of Bromsgrove 1754).
