Great Grimsby 1826-31, Wareham 1831-2, Halifax 1832-65, Ripon 1865-6, chancellor of the Exchequer 1846-52, president of Board of Control 1852-5, first lord of the Admiralty 1855-8, secretary of state for India 1859-66, and president of the Indian Council, lord privy seal 1870-4, died 8 Aug., 1885.
