Wrottesley, (Sir) John (8th Bart.), created D.C.L. 8 July, 1773 (s. Richard, baronet & cler.); of Wrottesley, co. Stafford, major-general in the army, colonel 45th regiment, master of horse to the Duke of York, M.P. Newcastle-under-Lyne 1768, Staffordshire 1768, until his death 23 April, 1787.
