Argwohn, m., from the equiv. MidHG. arcwân, m. (comp. Wahn), ‘suspicion, mistrust’; comp. ModHG. Arglist, f., from MidHG. arclist, f., ‘cunning, malice,’ from arg; even in OHG. arcwânen, ‘to suspect,’ occurs, MidHG. arcwœnen.
