angenehm, adj., ‘agreeable, pleasant,’ from MidHG. genœme, late OHG. ginâmi, adj., ‘acceptable, agreeable’ (without the prefix an-), allied to nehmen. Comp. Goth. andanêms ‘agreeable,’ allied to and-niman, ‘to accept.’
