Some or all works by this author are in the public domain in Israel because its term of copyright has expired. According to Israel's copyright statute from 2007, a work is released to the public domain 70 years after the death of its last surviving author, except for in these cases:
- For photographs, if created before 25 May 2008 - the old British Mandate act applies, i.e. 50 years after the creation (paragraph 78(i) of the 2007 statute, and paragraph 21 of the old British Mandate act).
- If owned by the State, and there is no special agreement between the State and the creator - 50 years after the creation (paragraphs 36 and 42 in the 2007 statute)
Some or all works by this author are also in the public domain in the U.S.A. because it was in the public domain in Israel in 1996, and no copyright was registered in the U.S.A. (This is the combined effect of Israel's joining the Berne Convention in 1950, and of 17 USC 104A with its critical date of January 1, 1996.)
