American activist; born Malcolm Little, also known as Detroit Red, El-Hajji Malik El-Shabazz, and Omowale and was a longtime spokesman for the Nation of Islam. He was also founder of the Muslim Mosque, Inc. and the Organization of Afro-American Unity
