William Arbuthnot-Lane
(1856–1943)

Scottish surgeon; associated with Guy's Hospital; Arbuthnot-Lane is known for three surgical procedures: the treatment of cleft palate, the application of internal splints to fractures using the strict aseptic 'Lane technique' and the treatment of chronic intestinal stasis.
