Also noted as Arthur Plantagenet Broome in modern records, though no contemporary records are seen with the mention of Plantagenet for this gentleman. A son born in 1841 has that name.

Plenty of records for Broome in India, from 1834 in marriage, and children baptism, masonry, and EIC military records.

Plantagenet[edit]

"Plantagenet" could be a learned joke: see w:House of Plantagenet#Plantagenet for the connection with the broom plant. So it might have been self-awarded as in "Plantagenet is my middle name", or a nickname. Charles Matthews (talk) 16:55, 18 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
