Date of death[edit]

He died 23 December 1885, according to The Mercury (Hobart), Thursday 28 January 1886. This Cooper was a Scot, minister at Geelong, then Rokewood, then Pentridge/Cobourg. There are quite full details of his time in Victoria in A Jubilee History of the Presbyterian Church of Victoria; or, the rise and progress of Presbyterianism from the foundation of the colony to 1888, Chapter XV.
