Principal of the Diocesan Boys' School, Rangoon, 1907-8. Inspector (and afterwards Director of Public Instruction) in the Indian Educational Service, Burma ; retired, 1935. Served in the Great War, 1914-19 (Major, I.A.R.O.; General Staff Officer). Married, Jan. 3, 1907, Fides Irene, eldest dau. of E. A. Tewson, Esq., of Tunbridge Wells, and had issue. Author: Horace in Burma ; The Pagoda and the Poct; The Mark of the East and other Poems, etc. Died June 17, 1945, at Pilgrim's Rest, St Stephen's, Canterbury, ( Venn, II. 559; Univ.
