Identification[edit]

This one can probably be sorted out: he wrote just the DNB article on w:Charles Ritchie, 1st Baron Ritchie of Dundee. The second Baron married a Jennings, Sarah Ruth Jennings, a daughter of w:Louis John Jennings. The information I see is that Louis Jennings had a son Richard. This should be our man. (Evidence in a newspaper clip at http://www.britishnewspaperarchive.co.uk/viewer/bl/0000564/19270917/033/0003, funeral of the second Baron's son.) And there is a photo of the guy I must mean, taken by Lady Ottoline Morrell![1] Charles Matthews (talk) 20:42, 29 July 2016 (UTC)Reply

Given the others in the photo, this will be Richard Jennings the bibliophile, mentioned in [2] and another biography of T. S. Eliot, and also the Richard Jennings (1881–1952) on VIAF as https://viaf.org/processed/LC%7Cno2015117634. Strong circumstantial evidence. Charles Matthews (talk) 20:51, 29 July 2016 (UTC)Reply
