A number of Rivers works are published post-posthumously - thankfully most area also published in the US and I have checked the renewal records and not found any renewals. John Vandenberg 08:19, 10 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Requests[edit]

I'm making my slow way through Rivers's works and typing them up as I come to them but if anyone has any requests for articles they would particularly like to read then I will do my best to get them up first. --Pudupudu 23:54, 15 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I've uploaded two sets of pagescans, which have already been typed up, and I will upload more. Each page needs to be proofread, and any typos corrected. e.g. I have proofread the first five pages of Index:Kinship and social organisation.djvu, which causes those pages to be displayed as yellow. photobucket[edit]

Pudupudu has put a number of related works on photobucket; here is my quick copyright assessment of them:

  • Sassoon - {{PD-1923}} - may be copyright in England - upload to Wikisource
  • 1923 Obit. in Proceedings of the Royal Society [1] - copyright
  • 1922 Obit. in The Eagle 2-12 - {{PD-1923}} - Copyright in England - upload to Wikisource
  • Henry Head's Obituary, 1922 BMJ. [2]-[3] - {{PD-1923}} - Copyright in England - upload to Wikisource
    • photo, photographed by ??? - I cant be sure about the copyright of this unless we know which year this was printed, and who the photographer is. Dont upload anywhere yet.
  • 1936 article about Rivers in St. Bart's Hospital Journal [4] & [5]. Copyright everywhere.
  • Henry Head (January - June 1922) Obit in RS. - {{PD-1923}} - Copyright in England - upload to Wikisource
  • Photo. When and where was this printed?
    • The photo was taken c. 1917 and printed, on this occasion, in Head's RS obit of Rivers. I have yet to find out who took the photo, though I know that at least one of the original copies was kept by Rivers's sister, Katharine and subsequently sent to Sassoon (not that that's of much use here other than being interesting trivia)--Pudupudu 17:01, 14 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • Photo. When and where was this printed? It might be PD.
    • No idea when this was taken or by whom. At at guess, I would say c. 1908, possibly at Head's wedding. The picture is held at the National Portrait Gallery.--Pudupudu 17:01, 14 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • Birth register "RIV" 1864 - consists only of facts which cant be copyrighted, but it might be copyright to the Crown in the UK??; to be safe, I think it should be uploaded to Wikisource under {{PD-1923}}.
