Chapter 1[edit]

1 Peter, Apostle of Jesus Christ, to those of Gods chosen people, strangers in the world, dispersed throughout Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia and Bithynia,

2 chosen according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through the Holy work of the Spirit, in obedience to and in the sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ, may grace and peace be with you and multiplied.

3 Blessings and praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! Who is his mercy has fathered us into a living hope by the resurrection from the dead of our Lord Jesus Christ,
