Chairman Chaffetz’ Statement on Hillary Clinton’s Use of Personal Email at the State Department
March 3, 2015
WASHINGTON— House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman Jason Chaffetz (UT-03) released the following statement in response to Hillary Clinton’s use of a personal email account for official federal business while Secretary of the U.S. State Department:
“Violations of the Federal Records Act within federal agencies is something we take very seriously. In fact, the Committee will be reviewing similar violations of this Act tomorrow during a hearing on the Chemical Safety Board. The House Oversight Committee will work with Mr. Gowdy and the Select Committee on Benghazi to further explore Hillary Clinton’s use of personal emails while at the State Department.”
