The following joint communiqué on the establishment of diplomatic relations and exchange of diplomatic envoys between China and Yemen was issued on September 24, 1956 by the Government of the People's Republic of China and the Government of the Kingdom of Yemen.
Considering the mutual desire of both countries, the Government of the People's Republic of China and the Government of the Kingdom of Yemen have decided to establish diplomatic relations and to exchange diplomatic representatives with the rank of minister.
