EXCELSIS GLĨA.

When cryst was born of mary fre
In bedlem, ĩ þᵗ fayre cyte,
Angellis songen wᵗ mirth & gle,

in excelsis gɫia.

herdmē beheld þˢ angellis bryȝt
To hem apperyd wᵗ gret lyȝt,
and seyd goddis sone is born þˢ nyȝt,

in excelsis gɫia.

Þˢ kyng ys comyn to save kynde

. . . . fore þˢ song haue we ĩ mynde,

in excelsis gɫia.
