Very common on exposed dung-hills. It may have been passed over for P. cochleata, which is rather more rare, and affects a different situation. It is easily distinguished from cerea & cochleata by being found more or less composed of an inner and outer cup (see the perpendicular section), between which the fructification seems to be produced.
