This presidential proclamation, number R. 36 of 2013 published on 22 August 2013 in Government Gazette No. 36774, set the date that most sections of the Superior Courts Act, 2013 came into force.

Commencement of the Superior Courts Act, 2013 (Act No. 10 of 2013)


Under section 56 of the Superior Courts Act, 2013 (Act No. 10 of 2013), I hereby fix 23 August 2013 as the date on which the said Act, with the exception of sections 29, 37 and 45 and Items No. 11 of Schedule 1 in so far as it repeals section 16 of the Constitutional Court Complementary Act, 1995 (Act No. 13 of 1995), and No. 1.1 of Schedule 2 to the said Act, shall come into operation.
