ACERRO'NIA, a friend of Agrippina, the mother of Nero, was drowned in b. c. 39, when an unsuccessful attempt was made at the same time to drown Agrippina. (Tac. Ann. xiv. 4 ; Dion Cass. lxi. 13.)
