Eugene Aram: A tale (1832)
by Edward George Earle Lytton Bulwer

Melodramatic novel, it depicts the events leading up to the execution of Eugene Aram in 1759 for murdering his business partner.

The numbering of the Chapters in the fourth Book is in error. There are two Chapter VI.'s. Consequently, chapter numbers from Chapter VII. are one out. Chapter II. is also misnumbered as Chapter X. Things return to normal in Book 5.
