English: New Poems by James I is an American edition of 1911, of hitherto unpublished poems by James I, King of England, 1566-1625, collected and prefaced by Westcott, Allan F. (Allan Ferguson), 1882-1953. A contemporary and patron of Shakespeare as well as of some other notable luminaries of Renaissance, James I did leave a literary legacy of his own.
