Below are instructions specific to how to transcribe this cookbook. Please follow these guidelines for a consistent look.

Recipes[edit]

  • Each recipe has a section. Example:
   ## RECIPE NAME IN ALL CAPITALS ##
  • The name of the recipe is centered, {{larger}}, and in all capitals. Example:
   {{c|{{larger|BAKING-POWDER BISCUITS}}}}
  • The recipe itself is typed as-is.
  • A {{dhr}} goes between each recipe (between the end of the previous recipe and the ## section of the next.
  • If a recipe finishes at the end of a page, terminate it with a {{dhr}} followed by a {{nop}}.
  • Each section (eg. "Quick Breads" or "Beverages") is transcluded as a whole. That is, each recipe itself doesn't get its own "page" in the main namespace, just the whole section.
  • If there is a reference in the text to a section, add a link to the section.
  • If there is a reference to a specific recipe, add a to the section that contains it. (Eg. a link for "Baking-Powder Biscuits" would point to the section called "Quick Breads" and the specific page that the recipe is on. Eg. [[../Quick Breads#141|biscuits]].)
  • After doing a page, find those recipes in the index (pp 311-327) and link them to the correct section and page number. Some index pages are already fully linked.
