Quick notes[edit]

  • Use curly quotes.
  • Use {{“ ’}} and {{’ ”}}.
  • Use {{lang}} for italicized French words, e.g. {{lang|fr|affaire}} for affaire.
  • Use <em>...</em> for emphasized words, e.g. Oh, be <em>quick!</em> for “Oh, be quick!
  • Use {{longdash}} for long dashes.
  • Use &hairsp; between a punctuation mark and a following ellipsis: O’Hara was ignoring him, would not speak to him.&hairsp;… God, but his brain was reeling!&hairsp; for “O’Hara was ignoring him, would not speak to him. … God, but his brain was reeling! …”
