Straight vs curly quotes[edit]
Please use curly quotes (“”) and apostrophes (’).
Tips[edit]
- Use the 1909 edition (or imprint) published by Williams and Norgate (Internet Archive) if you have any difficulty with deciphering the text - it is a better scanned version and is clearer.
- I am using the Internet Archive version to copy the text out of, as it is much more accurate than the existing text or using the OCR tool. David Nind (talk) 18:02, 8 January 2022 (UTC)

The 1909 edition (or imprint) published by Williams and Norgate has clearer and sharper images, and is exactly the same apart from the cover and publisher information.
- I'm uploading the scanned 1909 images to that second Commons category, using the file name schema The Kea, a New Zealand problem (1909) · Marriner · 036.jpg (because we can't use colons in filenames). So each occurrence of an image in the text will have to have the colon replaced by a comma, and the year corrected, and then the Commons image will magically appear. —Giantflightlessbirds (talk) 03:30, 3 February 2022 (UTC)

Dot leaders[edit]
Pages 145–147, the list of correspondents, have dot leaders separating names and addresses. We could model these using a table of contents with {{TOC row 2dot-1}}. However the dots will all disappear when it's exported as an ebook. —Giantflightlessbirds (talk) 23:57, 15 March 2022 (UTC)
