CAUSES OF HUMAN MISERY.

The natural causes of human misery may be reduced to two: ignorance and immorality. Both are great. Philosophers are right in recomending [recommending] the cultivation of intellect, and by doing so, many disorders will be removed, but the aim will not be attained without attending with the same care to the moral nature of man.-Spurzheim.
