Aldam, William, chairman of quarter sessions West Riding Yorkshire, M.P. Leeds 1841–7, a student of the Middle Temple 3 May, 1834, called to the bar 25 Jan., 1839 (only surviving son of William Aldam, of Leeds, merchant); born 20 Aug., 1813; married 13 Nov., 1845, Mary Stables, dau. of Rev. Godfrey Wright, of Bilham; she died 4 Oct., 1867, leaving issue (see Foster's Baronetage, Pease).
