West Riding Yorkshire volunteers, joint author of Montagu and Ayrton's Reports in Bankruptcy, and of Law and Practice in Bankruptcy, author of A Treatise on Bonds in Bankruptcy, a student of the Middle Temple 20 Nov., 1824, called to the bar 26 Nov., 1830 (only son of William Ayrton, Esq., of Westminster); born 28 March, 1804; married 20 March, 1847, Margaret, dau. of Thomas Massa Alsager, Esq., of London, and has issue.
