Barber, William, Q.C., M.A. Worcester Coll., Oxon. professor of real and personal property to Inns of Court since 1881, contested Halifax 1880, joint editor of Dart's Vendors and Purchasers, a student of Lincoln's Inn 23 April, 1859 (then aged 25), called to the bar 27 Jan., 1862, Q.C. 18 Jan., 1882, bencher 15 Jan., 1885 (eldest son of Joseph Barber, of Brighouse, Yorkshire, gentleman); born 12 Nov., 1833; married 5 Jan., 1859, Elizabeth, dau. of late Henry Birch, Esq., and has issue (see Foster's Our Noble and Gentle Families).
