Barker, John Edward, M.A., Exeter Coll., Oxon, 1857, recorder of Leeds since Jan., 1880, a member of the North-eastern circuit, educated at Eton, a student of the Inner Temple 18 Nov., 1854 (then aged 22), re-admitted 14 Nov., 1859, called to the bar 17 Nov., 1862 (only son of Edward Barker, Esq., of Bakewell, co. Derby); born 9 April, 1832; married 14 Feb., 1860, Susan Marianne, widow of James Mosley Leigh, Esq., of Davenham, Cheshire, dau. of late William Rowley Wynyard, Esq., lieut. R.N.
