Bencke, Albert Henry, M.A. Brasenose Coll., Oxon, late lieut. of the royal Lancashire militia, author of Dantzick and other tales, a student of the Middle Temple 23 Jan., 1866, called to the bar 30 April, 1873 (only son of John Albert Bencke, Esq., of Liverpool); born 8 Dec., 1846; married 1 June, 1876, Beatrice Augusta Melicent Sharp, younger dau. of R. W. Waithman, Esq., D.L., of Moyne Park, co. Galway.
