(fellow) of All Souls' 1846, private secretary to Viscount Palmerston 1850–7, a student of the Inner Temple 18 Jan., 1842 (then aged 21), called to the bar 20 Nov., 1846 (3rd son of Sir Augustus Clifford, Bart., R.N.); born 7 Jan., 1821 (see Foster's Baronetage).
