Collis-Sandes, Falkner Sandes, B.A. Trin. Coll., Dublin, assumed the additional surname of Sandes by royal licence 1879 under the will of his maternal uncle Maurice F. Sandes, a student of the Middle Temple 13 Nov., 1865, called to the bar 26 Jan., 1869 (6th son of Stephen Edward Collis, Esq., J.P., of Tieraclea, co. Kerry); born 15 Oct., 1844; married 31 Oct., 1882, Louisa, 4th dau. of Col. James Young, R.A., and has issue (see Foster's Our Noble and Gentle Families).
