Linlithgowshire, acting consul-general at Bucharest 1856–7, at Belgrade 1857–9, consul at Erzeroum 1859–65, at Roustchouk 1865–74, a student of the Inner Temple 10 Jan., 1843 (then aged 21), called to the bar 23 Nov., 1849 (eldest son of William Conyngham Cavendish Dalyell, comr.
