Fithian, Edward William, educated at King's Coll., London, secretary to Commons Preservation Society, assistant secretary to royal commission on tonnage 1880-1, author of The Bills of Sale Acts 1878 and that of 1882, which he drafted, a student of the Middle Temple 8 Dec., 1876, called to the bar 17 Nov., 1879 (only son of William Fithian, of London); born 24 Feb., 1845; married 13 Aug., 1870, Marianne Frances Ryder, dau. of late James Ranton, Esq., of London.
