FitzGerald, Gerald Augustus Robert, M.A. (late fellow) St. John's Coll., Oxon, late scholar Corpus Christi Coll., Oxon, a commissioner of national education Ireland Dec., 1884, a member of the Western circuit, author of The Ballot Act, editor of Thring's Joint Stock Companies, a student of Lincoln's Inn 25 April, 1868 (then aged 23), called to the bar 1 May, 1871 (eldest son of Ven. Augustus Otway FitzGerald, of Charlton Mackrell, Somerset, archdeacon of Wells); born 22 Sept., 1844; married 2 Oct., 1875, Alice Caroline Frances, eldest dau. of Henry D. Skrine, Esq., of Warleigh and Claverton Manors, Bath, and Stubbings, Berks, and has issue.
