Coll., London, 1876-9, vice president since 1879, author of a work on The Specific Performance of Contracts, a student of Lincoln's Inn 1 Nov., 1849 (then aged 21), called to the bar 9 June, 1854, Q.C. , 1869, bencher 2 Nov., 1869 (2nd son of Joseph Fry, of Bristol, manufacturer); born 4 Nov., 1827; married 6 April, 1859, Mariabella, eldest dau. of late John Hodgkin, Esq., of Lewes, bar.-at-law.
